October Meeting

The Society’s next meeting will be held on October 17 at 7 p.m. at the Library Fire Hall.

 “Strange Tales for an Autumn Night Part IV” with guest speaker Keith Bastianini is scheduled.  All Society meetings are open to the public at no charge and light refreshments are served. Bring a friend and enjoy an interesting program.

Sleepy Hollow Clean-Up

The fall clean-up of Sleepy Hollow has been scheduled by the Environmental Committee for Saturday, October 14. They will meet near the Girls Academy on Sleepy Hollow Road at 9:30 a.m. Volunteers are always welcome.  For more information, please call 412-833-8160. 

2018 Enjoy Book

The Enjoy Book is being sold again by the Society for $30 and will be available at the Society’s meetings.  Anyone living in the South Park area can make arrangements for delivery of the Enjoy Book to their home by calling 412-833-8160.

Society’s Book

The Society’s book, titled “Historical Snowden Township/South Park Township,” is available for sale at the South Park Township Library for $20 (tax included).  Books can also be ordered by calling 412-835-9529 or 412-655-4104.  For an additional $3.25 for postage, the book can be mailed to any destination.

Save the Date! Oldies Dance Bash

The Society is holding their 7th annual Oldies Dance Bash on Saturday, November 18. It will be held at the Library Fire Hall from 5 – 10 p.m.  Tickets are $30 per person. No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets include a hot dinner buffet served by Cyd West-Comfort Catering, music by D.J. Todd Tkach and complimentary refreshments.  You are welcome to bring your own bottle, mixers and snacks. Each ticket has two chances to win $250 every half hour from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m., $500 every hour from 6 – 9 p.m. and $1,000 at 10 p.m. If this number matches the PA lottery on November 25, an additional $5,000 is awarded.
