Construction Begins on Greenock Buena Vista Road (SR 2017) Bridge in Elizabeth Township

Allegheny County Bridge to be replaced as part of Public-Private Partnership

Construction for the Greenock Buena Vista Road (SR 2017) bridge, spanning Wildcat Run in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, is scheduled to begin as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Allegheny County’s structurally deficient bridge list.

Construction is scheduled to begin during the week of August 21 and be complete in late September. During this time, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Broadlawn Drive, Route 48 and Rock Run Road. In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
