The Rostraver Woman’s Club hosted the 2017 Belle Vernon Area Senior Girls’ Tea, Shades of Pink, on May 8, 2017 at the Peppermill Grille.

All the tables had different shades of pink napkins and floral arrangements. Guests dined on a selection of sliders and wraps with red velvet cupcakes for dessert.
Melanie Patterson served as the Mistress of Ceremonies and gave the invocation. She was also the guest speaker, presenting on ‘Table Manners in 10 Minutes.’
Barbara Vandermer presented the Rostraver Woman’s Club Young Women of Service Awards to Aleah Belczyk, Madison McCarthy, and Layne Spoto. The three young women were presented with flowers, a monetary gift, and a book donated to the Belle Vernon Area School library in their honor. Each young woman was asked to write an inspirational message in the book for future students to read.
Stephanie McHugh, BVA Director of Counseling Services, briefly addressed the seniors about being successful. Class President Natalie Bialon gave a closing message to the graduating young women.

The Rostraver Woman’s Club is on summer break but will resume meeting on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Fells Methodist Church at 7 p.m. All guests are welcome to attend.
