Members of Monessen CTC and members of Monessen High School Youth Council celebrated ‘Increase the Peace Day 2017’ on May 30 at Monessen Elementary Center.

Pre-k through grade 5 were given a backpack filled with information on free activities for the summer throughout Monessen and the Mon Valley. In addition to the backpacks, classrooms were given supply packets to create a poster based on the ‘Building a Better World’ theme. At end of the school year, these posters will be on display at Monessen Public Library.
