Pet Adoption League (PAL), located at 150 Spring Street, Yukon, offers a Reading to Pets program on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
PAL is a no-kill non-profit animal shelter founded in 1991 to aid unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned dogs and cats in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties. Sara Jo Smith is the head of the shelter with a staff of volunteers.
PAL will provide spay/neuter, vaccinations, micro-ship and medical attention when needed to all adoptive animals. The shelter's fee for adoptions is very reasonable.
