Balancing technology with actual play is a challenge.
Unplugged |
Local author Christine Grant has written Entertaining Unplugged Children to assist parents, grandparents, children, and child care givers in their quest to find entertaining things to do when children are unplugged.
Outdoor play with a lot of kids to indoor activities with a few are explored. Being unplugged does not necessarily mean doing physical activities, so quiet activities are also considered.
Kids' songs, nursery rhymes, food, and craft activities are touched upon, but those would be books in themselves! Have fun learning, sharing, making memories, or revisiting things that you might have done growing up with the children in your life.
