Excitement is building as Bethel Art Guild’s members prepare for the annual art show at the Galleria Mall.
This is one of the “perks” of being a member of the Bethel Art Guild - being able to show your original art work at a wonderful community art venue. Because this show is not juried, all works can be entered, including previously judged art, previously shown art, prints of artist’s favorite pieces and never before shown art pieces. Many of these works will be for sale.
Bethel Art Guild’s regular October meeting will be on Thursday, October 6 and will also include completing the plans for the October 8 public reception during the art show at the Galleria. This is a reception with a “meet and greet” with many of the artists, allowing the public an opportunity to discuss their art work with them. As usual, after the general business meeting and light lunch, the meeting will conclude with a guest speaker. This month’s speaker is a floral watercolorist, Joann Leardi Portnoy. Her floral paintings range from Realism to Impressionism, all using bright color with stark contrast to “bloom her work.”
Join us at 12:30 p.m. on October 6 at the Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Ave., Bethel Park.
