Dorothy Flaherty Weldon was an accredited delegate at the 98th Biennial AOH/LAOH National Convention held at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center, Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The National Convention opened with Mass on July 11 and ran through July 14, 2016. Dorothy Weldon is a past LAOH, Inc. national president, past Pennsylvania state president and 2016-18 president-elect of Mary Ellen O’Neill Division, Division #4, Mon Valley where she has served as president for numerous years and is a Charter Member.
As the oldest and largest Irish Catholic organization in the United States, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians are dedicated to bringing together Irish Americans who share a rich history and a steadfast commitment to their Faith and Heritage.
Any woman sixteen years or older, being a practicing Roman Catholic, who is Irish or of Irish descent through either parent or who is legally adopted, or who is the wife or mother of a member of the AOH shall be eligible for membership. For information, contact 724-823-0514.
At the August 6 meeting, the Mon Valley LAOH, Inc. celebrated its charter of 32 years. New Officers to be installed at the September 10 meeting are:
