Dr. Gary Cartwright, an orthodontist with offices in McMurray and Bethel Park, recently awarded four $500 scholarships to four high school seniors; two girls and two boys.

Every year he conducts an essay contest for all past and present patients who are furthering their education. The topic was “What would you like to study after high school and why?” Winners this year:
- Kaeley Honsaker
- Megan McKenzie
- Adam Hrycko
- Andrius Petrauskas
Selection process:
- Scholarships are submitted in a sealed envelope with name on envelope
- One employee tracks all submissions and removes entries from their envelopes.
- All other employees place their votes on the anonymous entries.
- Winner is chosen by number of votes and is then identified and notified.
This is the seventeenth year Dr. Cartwright has awarded this scholarship.
