Working men and women throughout the Mon Valley can now purchase safety clothing, gear, and accessories from a local, family-run safety gear retail store.

Mon Valley Safety Gear recently celebrated its grand opening July 1 – opening its doors at 1015 West Main Street in Monongahela. Owner Julia Oldenburg, along with the help of her husband, Chuck, hopes to meet all the needs of the industrial workers throughout the region – including those from the gas, oil, steel, and mining industries, and more.
Only open for a few weeks, the Oldenburgs have already served customers from an array of industries in the area.
"Everybody who wears a safety device has come into the store," noted Chuck.
The shop offers hundreds of different safety products, including flame resistant clothing and shoes, work boots, flashlights, fire extinguishers, high visibility hard hats, reflective gear, and much more.

Customers can expect quality, brand-name products at discounted prices, according to Julia. Products from Carhartt, Benchmark, Wrangler, Black Stallion, and many more are available for purchase or order.
The inventory is continually growing and changing to meet the needs of customers, and customer recommendations are welcomed.
