Business & Merchant

The Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce’s "POP UP POST" is now up and running! Thanks to Belle Vernon native Mary Blatnik for coming up with the new name for the chamber's concession/pop-up building.

MVRCC_Pop_up
Back Row (L to R): Joe Manning, Ray Mosco, Rick Mudrick, Tammy Hamed, Debbie France, Lisa Neil. Front Row (L to R): Melissa Trombley, Ashley Seman, Adele Hopkins, Armand Ferrara, Leanna Spada, Kristin Hopkins Calcek, Rachel Rotolo, Mary Blatnik, Kelly Moore, Deb Puglia

This building was formerly an ATM building for PNC Bank and was gifted to the chamber for $1 in 1989. Since then the chamber has loaned it out to non-profit organizations for fundraisers during parades and events throughout the years.  Recently the chamber had decided it needed some updates and maintenance. In doing so a new idea was born.  An idea to help entrepreneurs, someone who may be an online business and may want a space for the day or week to sell their goods, give the brick-and-mortar route a shot or even a current brick-and-mortar that wants to change things up and spread the word of their business to another town in a scaled-down version of their store.  Of course, non-profits or organizations looking for a pop-up fundraising space can still take advantage as well. For details and to reserve a time. Contact the Mon Valley Regional Chamber at 724-483-3507.

The chamber hopes to shine a spotlight on small towns, help newly developing businesses get a kickstart, and give small businesses a creative outlet!!   All proceeds from the rental of this venue will go toward MVRCC Scholarship Fund for local students!!
