The Washington Symphony Orchestra will make the holiday season brighter this year with its annual ‘Ho Ho Ho with the WSO’ concerts on Saturday, December 3 at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.) and Sunday, December 4 at 3 p.m. (doors open at 2 p.m.). Both concerts are at Trinity High School in Washington, PA.

The concert marks the first time that EQT has partnered with the WSO. The company announced a presenting sponsorship for the concert earlier in the year. The Washington County All-Star Choir, along with the California University Choir, will be joining the WSO for choruses from Handel’s Messiah.
High schools with contributing singers to the All-Star Choir include: Bethlehem Center, Chartiers-Houston, McGuffey, Peters Township, and Trinity. “Our holiday concert will feature some of your favorite Christmas selections from the big screen,” said WSO Artistic Director Yugo Ikach. “You will be challenged to believe with the "Polar Express,” spooked by a "Nightmare Before Christmas,” and laugh through "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
Kids in grades K through 6 will have the opportunity to enter the WSO’s ornament contest. All entries will be hung on a tree in the lobby and two winners will be selected, one by a panel of judges and the other by popular vote on the WSO Facebook page. Each winner will receive a gift card. Official entry forms are available at www.washsym.org.
Tickets start at just $17 and can be purchased online at washsym.org, by calling 1-888-71-TICKETS, or at the following locations: Citizens Library, the Peters Township Public Library, and the WSO Office at 11 South College Street in Washington (WSO Office by appointment only).
