To help reduce single-use plastic waste, Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania will eliminate the use of plastic bags in its 34 area thrift stores. Shoppers are encouraged to help Goodwill help the environment by using a free box from the store, bringing their own reusable bag, or purchasing a Goodwill fabric tote for $1 for future shopping trips.

The 4th Annual Friends of South Park Spring Flower and Garden Event will take place on Saturday, May 13, from 10:00AM – 2:00PM – (the day before Mother’s Day on May 14.)   The event will be held in the Home Economics Building, 2050 Buffalo Drive in South Park.

Friends of the Jefferson Hills Public Library will hold a Used Book and Boutique Sale Preview Party on Thursday, April 20.  Tickets to the Preview Party are $10 in advance, or $12 at the door.
