It's So Easy Being Green!

A very old World War II history book purchased at an estate sale is now in the hands of the daughter of the original owner, who was an honored serviceman – thanks to Jim Maimone and an ad in The Messenger.


Members of Mon Valley Quilt Club have been plying their craft for over 26 years. The public will have the opportunity to view their works at "Quilts for All Seasons" quilt show October 3-4, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Perryopolis Bible Baptist Church, Recreation Center, 3378 Pittsburgh Rd., Perryopolis.


Each year, over 3 million children witness domestic violence in their homes. As these children start the new school year, let us help them to start it from a safe home.


Charles Talbert, a retired California University of Pennsylvania professor and member of the Monongahela Cemetery Board of Incorporators and of the Monongahela Historical Society, will be the guest speaker at the Charleroi Area Historical Society's monthly program meeting on Monday, September 15.
