The department currently has 4 patrol/narcotic dogs. The dogs not only work in the McKeesport area; they also travel to neighboring communities. They perform various searches and community events. All proceeds will benefit the K-9 Unit. Funds raised go toward: training equipment, safety features for their vehicles and a new vehicle.
