The 18 Hole Youghiogheny Country Club Women's Golf Association recently hosted their invitational. Chairlady Lynn McHolme chose the theme "Bloom where you are planted.”

Ladies in Red Charity Event

The 2023 Ladies in Red charity golf event at Youghiogheny CC was a huge success raising $2,137.50 for Easterseals of Western & Central Pennsylvania! Special thanks also to benefactor Bob DeTorre, YCC owner Mr. John Goodrum, golf professional Tom Beeler, Events Coordinator Melissa Bingey, all the YCC staff, and Lynn McHolme who made it all possible. The annual event honors JoAnne DeTorre and other deceased YCC lady golfers. Pictured above wearing red, JoAnne's favorite color, are YCC golfers, friends and family of Joanne DeTorre.

On Friday, June 16, 2023, the Mid Mon Valley All Sports Hall of Fame honored area senior scholar athletes during its 28th annual induction banquet at St Spyridon Hellenic Center in Monessen PA at 5:30 p.m. Honoring the Mon Valley’s best and brightest in sports and in the classroom has been an integral part of the Sports Hall of Fame since 1995.

The Rostraver Sportsmen and Conservation Association located at 539 Cedar Creek Rd. in Belle Vernon, Pa. will hold trap shoots every Tuesday from 6:00 PM till 9:00 PM, every Thursday at 10:00 AM and every Saturday at 11:00 AM. This event is open to the general public.
