His academic, athletic, and civic achievements helped make possible his selection, along with 26 others, to participate in a 45-day cultural exchange wrestling tour during the summer of 2016. While participating with the Ohio All-Star Wrestling Team, he will compete against all-star teams from Washington, Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, and California.
The Ohio All-Star Wrestling Team has received wide-spread publicity from media outlets across the state and many noted individuals such us former presidents, Olympians, professional athletes, and war heroes.
In order to make this once-in-a- lifetime experience a reality, Duncan must raise $5,200. To earn money towards this trip, he has been working with his grandfather, splitting wood and polishing trucks. “I am also helping with spring landscaping clean-up and I will be mowing local lawns,” he said.
While currently working towards this goal, Duncan is unable to realize this goal on his own and is reaching out to his community for assistance by sponsoring him with a donation in any amount, stating, “I feel this type of learning experience will help me in my future wrestling career, but also in my daily life. I am eager to represent my state, my community, and my sponsors and I believe that my hard work and dedication while on this tour will help people across the country to know that America still produces top-notch athletes and individuals as well. Your support and generosity means a great deal to me and my team and I intend to exemplify the work ethic worthy of your support.”
