Pony League Baseball Games Underway

The weekend of April 20 saw serious competition begin in the various Pony Leagues across the area. Pony League baseball offers league and tournament play throughout the summer months culminating in the Pony League Baseball World Series for ten of the world’s best 13 and 14 year old baseball teams in August.

Local tournament play decides which championship teams will compete at Washington, PA’s Lew Hays Pony Field to play for the World Pony Championship Title. The 2012 Champion was Long Beach California and second place was taken by the Chinese Taipei, Taiwan team.
