GALA DAY

The Youghiogheny 18 Hole Women’s Golf Association hosted its annual ‘Gala Day’ golf outing recently at the Youghiogheny Country Club.  Sandy Payne and Penny Natale assisted Chairlady Diane Riley to organize "Off to see the Wizard."  The team of good witches were flattened by the bad witches in match play 57 to 51.  Following their luncheon, the ladies elected their nominating committee for 2024: Chairlady Dottie Bitonti-Wissen, Vickie McDevitt, and Lynn McHolme.

STAR OF THE YEAR

With a net score of 69 Diane Riley (pictured above) won ‘Star of the Year’ for the Youghiogheny Country Club Ladies Golf Association. The closest contender was Penny Natale with a net 74.  Each week throughout the season a lady with a low net score is Star of the Day which qualifies her to play in the annual tournament.  Last year's winner was Maureen Fiore.
