The South Hills Elks Lodge will be holding a ‘Soccer Shoot’ contest for area youth on Saturday, September 14 at the Bethel Park High School practice soccer fields. Activities will take place from 12:00 PM to 23:30 PM.
This competition is a “shooting skills” contest for all boys and girls under the age of 14 as of January 1, 2019, who live in Bethel Park, South Park, Upper St. Clair, Mt. Lebanon, Castle Shannon, Baldwin, Jefferson Hills, Peters Township, Canonsburg, McMurray, Finleyville, Pleasant Hills (or any other South Hills community not listed.) You do not have to be a member of a soccer organization nor a family member of the Elks to compete.
Highest free standing scores of the boy and girl shooter in each age group will advance to the Elks West District shoot, winners then will advance to the Pennsylvania Elks State shoot in State College, PA. Winners of the State shoot will then represent Pennsylvania in the Regional, multi-state shoot.
Sign up for the competition will be at Bethel Park HS Practice Soccer fields the day of the Soccer Shoot. Proof of age required at registration. To receive a registration form, please send an email to the South Hills Elk Lodge southhillselks@comcast.net. Please register in advance, onsite registration will be accepted as time and positions are available.
