The best little league teams in Pennsylvania will be competing in Rostraver Township, PA from July 24 to the 30, as the John DiVirglio Sports Complex in Rostraver Twp. will be the site of the Little League 2016 Pennsylvania State Baseball Tournament.
The excitement is beginning to mount. The best teams representing the eight Little League sections in Pennsylvania will be competing for the State championship. These teams will be their section champs and will have been victorious in the districts in which they live.
Players and their families will be seeking lodging accommodations in motels and hotels in the area. Tournament Director Scott Bryer said, “The event will attract thousands of people from across the state.”
The tournament games are scheduled to be played from Sunday, July 23 – Saturday, July 29. A game may also be played on Saturday, July 30 if needed to complete the brackets. Sunday, July 23, prior to game week, is set aside for check-in, equipment checks, the coaches meeting and a player’s dinner. The Little League 2016 Pennsylvania State Baseball Tournament will be a double-elimination tournament.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the state winning team will be awarded the Pennsylvania Championship Flag.
