AARP Offers Courses Geared for Seniors
AARP “Smart Drive” Beginner Course
Monday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 12– The AARP “Smart Drive” 8-hour beginner course is the nation’s first and largest driving course for drivers age 50 and older. The course will be held in the new meeting room from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days. Most insurance companies will recognize a 5% decrease in auto insurance premiums with completion of the class. Participants must bring a current driver’s license and a check for $15 (AARP member) or $20 (AARP non- member) made payable to AARP that day. Light refreshments will be provided. Wednesday, August 20 – This exciting live show coach bus trip pickup will be at the Charleroi Chamber Plaza parking lot (next to Riverside Place) at 9 a.m. and depart Rivers Casino at 4 p.m. The cost for the 2 p.m. show/bus is $47 or bus only $25 (not attending the live show). Both cost options will receive the bus promotion of $15 free play and $5 food voucher. Registration and payment can be made in the Business Office or by calling 724-483-8077. RSVP by Monday, August 18. Refunds will be provided for cancellations received by Thursday, August 14 for the bus trip only – no refund is offered for purchased show tickets.
