Seniors

The West Newton Center for Active Adults located at 103 E. Main St., West Newton, is open daily Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm. Lunch is served at 12:00 noon for a $2 donation (age 60+) or a $3.33 charge (under age 60).

Reservations for lunch must be made a week in advance. We have a full beauty shop on the premises Wednesday thru Friday. Call and ask for Judy to make a hair appointment. 724-872-4976. Daily card playing, pool, wii bowling, and Tuesday Bible study at 9:30am, are just some of our activities. In addition, each Wednesday at 12:30pm there are 20 games of nickel a card BINGO. We also have Tai Chi on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30pm thru September 4th.

Bus Trips

August 14th – (Tues) Rivers Casino – Departs WN Fire Hall 10am, BV Park n Ride 10:15am, arriving at Rivers casino at 11am. Receiving $30 free play. Leaving for home at 5pm. Cost $25.

September 15th – (Sat) Akron, OH – Departs, WN 6:30am & BV 6:45am. Cuyahoga Train Ride guided tour, lunch & shopping in Hudson, Stan Hewitt Nooks & Crannies Tour. Cost $104.

September 21st – (Fri) Pittsburgh Pirates Game against the Brewers – Departs 4pm from WN Fire Hall, BV Park n Ride 4:15pm. Arriving at PNC Park around 5:30pm. Game starts at 7:05pm. Section 129-left field. $10 concession stand coupon toward food. Reservation must be made by August 5th. Cost $80.

October 20th – (Sat) Zanesville, OH – Departs WN 6:15pm & BV 6:30pm. McDonalds Greenhouse & Corn Maze, farm tour, hayride & pic your own small pumpkin. Tour Alpaca Farm, l

Lunch at Bryan’s Place, Dorset and Day Lillie’s & Ohio Pottery demo & shopping. Cost $89.
