West Newton Center for Active Adults, located at 103 E. Main St., West Newton, is open daily Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Lunch is at noon for a $2 donation, and reservations for lunch must be made one week in advance. There is a full beauty shop on premises Tuesday – Friday. Call and ask for Judy. Daily card playing, pool, Wii bowling, and Tuesday 9:30 a.m. Bible study are some of our events. Each Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. there are 20 games of nickel a card bingo. The center will be scheduling income tax preparation.

- February 3 - Winter Wonderland, 10 a.m. with Amanda from Amediys
- Each Monday beginning February 5 - AARP free tax preparation for seniors by appointment only, rent rebate forms prepared at Filbern Manor
- February 6 - Book club with Rosemarie 1 to 2p.m.
- February 13 - Valentine’s Day Dance, 12:30 to 2 p.m. Free with entertainment by Mark Davis
- February 13, 20 and 27 - Progressive bingo, 11:15 a.m.
- February 15 - Coffee and Canvas, $20 includes all supplies
- February 16 - Birthday party, 11 a.m.
- February 21 - Big Bingo, McKenna Center, Greensburg, 1 p.m. $10. Includes 6 cards for 20 games
- February 27 - Grocery Bingo, 1 p.m.
Casino Bus Trips
Lunch and a bus trip to Nemicolon Casino, Monday, February 12 and Thursday, February 22. Lunch at 11:30 a.m., and depart for gambling at noon. Call and make reservations. Bus holds 14 people.
