West Newton Center for Active Adults, 103 E. Main St. in West Newton, can be reached at 724-872-4976. The center is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Call and receive our monthly shout out by email, then decide what days you would join us for lunch. Lunch reservations are due one week before each Tuesday for a $2 donation for those over age 60 and a $3.33 for those under 60.

The center has a full beauty shop; call for an appointment. We offer daily card playing, scat, euchre, poker, pool, Wii bowling, bingo, and speakers. Each Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., we offer 20 games of nickel-a-card bingo with a treat following the games.

November 2 - Meadows Casino in a 56-passenger bus. $25. Depart at 10 a.m. from fire hall parking lot, Riverview Dr., West Newton, PA. $20 in free play. $5 food. Mail your check to 103 W. Main St., West Newton, PA 15089.

November 3 - We will hold a Mystery Bingo

November 7 - Voting day, and at the center, join us to make a craft at 10 a.m.

November 13 - Nemicolon Casino in a 14-passenger van; call to make reservations. Lunch at the center at 11:30 a.m., board bus at 12:30 p.m. $10 paid at the Casino, $20 in free play.

November 16 - Coffee and Canvas. $20. All paints and canvas supplied; taught by two artists 1 - 3 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. sessions.

November 20 - Turkey Bingo, Thanksgiving luncheon, and Amanda from Amedisys at 1p.m.

November 30 - Lunch and a Show with Elvis impersonator Eddie Steen at 1 p.m. Lunch of stuffed cabbage, potatoes, vegetable, dessert and drink: $5. Stop in and purchase your tickets.
