St. David’s Episcopal Church Hosts Social Event for Individuals with Memory Loss
St. David’s Episcopal Church in Venetia will host September’s Neighborhood Memory Café, a monthly gathering for individuals who experience memory problems and their caregivers to socialize with others who are living a similar journey.
The Neighborhood Memory Café will be held on Saturday, September 2 from 1-3 p.m. at St. David’s Episcopal Church located at 905 E. McMurray Road, Venetia, PA.
A Neighborhood Memory Café is a place where individuals with memory loss and their caregivers can come together once a month in a safe, welcoming space. The mission of a Neighborhood Memory Café is to provide such an environment to enable people with memory loss and their caregivers to connect and remain socially engaged with others who are experiencing similar journeys. Additionally, the Neighborhood Memory Café aims to be a grassroots effort, organized, maintained, and self-sustained by the people that attend.
The Neighborhood Memory Café hosted by St. David’s Episcopal Church on the first Saturday of each month. The event is free and open to people with memory loss and their caregivers.
