Seniors

The Center is located at 103 East Main Street, West Newton, PA and can be reached at 724 - 872 - 4976. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.  - 3:30 p.m.

The Center offers many daily and weekly activities: cards, puzzles, Wii bowling, ping pong, trivia, crafts, pool, nutrition and socialization. Lunch is at noon every day. Food is ordered a week ahead of time so please make your reservation by Tuesday. There is also Bible study, bingo, exercise and cards.

Monthly bus trips are always offered – Stop by the Center and get all the details. Sign up early, the buses fill fast!

Highlighted Events for July:

  • July 7 – Canoe Trip–11 a.m. meet at the center for lunch; we start at Smithton around noon. $30 per person, $35 for a kayak.
  • July 11 – Sutersville Bingo at our Center at 1 p.m.
  • July 12 – Grocery & Magic Ball Bingo at 1 p.m.
  • July 13 – Farmers' Market Vouchers at 9 a.m.
  • July 14 – Coffee & Canvas at 1 – 3 p.m. or 6 - 8 p.m.; $20 includes all supplies and instruction. Make your reservation by July 6.
  • July 15 – Birthday party at 11 a.m. Roll the birthday dice right after lunch to win a prize.
  • July 16 – Health Fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Duck Race 11 a.m. Gyda will be her to give Zumba instructions. Health professionals, vendors and Chinese auction.
  • July 18 – Monday Night Bingo at 6:15 p.m.
  • July 20 – Rivers Casino & Strip District trip, gambling or shopping, receive $25 free play to use at the Casino. Bus departs West Newton at 10 a.m.
  • July 22 – Firecracker Party 10 a.m. come join the fun playing games and a chance to win the gift basket.
  • July 23 – Coffee and Canvas 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., $20 includes all supplies and instruction. Make your reservation by July 6.
