School News

Old Trails BPW presented scholarships to four local seniors during their 59th birthday party at King's Restaurant in Bentleyville.

From California High School is Rachel Wilkinson, daughter of Sherry and Thomas Wilkinson. Rachel, who was first in her class, will be attending Slippery Rock University to achieve a BS in exercise science and a Ph.D. in physical therapy.

From Charleroi High School is Rose Hawk, daughter of Julie and R. Doug Hawk. Rose, who was second in her class, will be attending the University of Pittsburgh to achieve a BS in environmental engineering.

From Bentworth High School is Grace Sumney, daughter of Beverly and Scott Sumney, who was first in her class. Grace will be attending Waynesburg University to achieve a BS in nursing, aspiring to be involved in neurology.

From Beth Center High School is Cassandra Marchando, daughter of Debra and John Marchando. Cassandra, who was second in her class, will be attending the University of Pittsburgh to achieve a BS in biology and pre-med
