The 3- to 5-year-old children of today are much more advanced and device-oriented, and spend more time with TV and handheld mobile devices than even their brothers and sisters just a few years older. They are so eager to learn.

In this fast-paced world, guidance to their learning needs must be a balance that addresses body, mind, and spirit. They need a program that will prepare them for the next steps in their formal education.

The program at Hamilton does that and more. It is aligned with the Pennsylvania State Standards of Early Learning and Development. It's filled with hands-on projects geared toward getting children excited about learning while developing social skills in its faith-based program.

The program at Hamilton has grown over the last 13 years, so as to keep up with the changing times while making sure the program is age-appropriate for the level of each child. The schedule demonstrates this, with the 2-day morning class for 3-year-olds, the 3-day morning classes for 4-year-olds and the 4day afternoon program for 4- and 5-year-olds preparing for kindergarten.

The program also includes field trips and special events. The trips to Simmons Farm and Trax Farm are among the favorites. There are other events and a monthly family night. At family night, your whole family can come and spend quality time together with a movie and snacks while meeting other families from the children's classes and the Hamilton Church family.

For more information or to schedule a tour for you and your child, call the church office at 412-884-2722. The Hamilton Presbyterian Church is located in Bethel Park at the corner of Baptist and Hamilton Road. Our address is 4500 Baptist Road. Information is also available at www.hamiltonpresbyterian.org.
