While there, they were privileged to study under Corinna Hewitt of Scotland, Sue Richards of Virginia, and Abby Palmer of Maryland. These students are part of the Ringgold Celtic Harp program and are preparing for the National Scottish Harp Competition at the Ligonier Highland Games at Idelwild Park on Saturday, September 21. This event is sponsored by LHG, Scottish Harp Society of America, and Clan Currie. Ringgold Celtic Harp students play every month in the lobby of the Monongahela Valley Hospital and recently played at the Art in the Park festival in Chess Park in Monongahela.
