More than 1,000 students graduated with associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, including those who chose not to attend commencement. Cal U's winter commencement recognizes students who graduated in August or December 2019.

Commencement speaker was Col. Lance D. Oskey, who graduated from Cal U in 1993. Oskey is Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Cadet Command, at Fort Knox, Ky. His service includes deployment to Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan, in addition to many stateside assignments. Before his appointment as Chief of Staff, he was commander of the 7th Brigade, U.S. Army Cadet Command, also at Fort Knox.
