School News

The Monessen Rostraver Rotary recently honored two senior students and two 8th graders as their September students of the month.

Senior Kathryn Dzurik is very active in her church and is planning to attend college for a chemistry degree or biochemistry degree.

Senior Cory Fleming currently participates in football, basketball, baseball and soccer and is planning to attend college for a math degree.

8th Grader Carlyn Yates is the daughter of Tad and Daniel Yates. Her favorite subjects include math and liberal arts. She currently participates in gymnastics. Hobbies include hanging out with her friends, cooking and going to the park. She plans on being a neonatal nurse practitioner.

8th Grader Jack Sacco is the son of Jack and Marissa Sacco. His favorite subjects include math, history and liberal arts. Currently, he participates in a cappella, National Junior Honor Society, band and group of performing arts. Jack also currently participates in soccer and baseball. Hobbies include playing deck hockey and baseball. He plans on being a lawyer and baseball coach.
