Through its Simon Youth Foundation, South Hills Village recently presented Maya Maurer, 2017 Thomas Jefferson High School Graduate, with a $500 scholarship.

| Maya Mauer receives scholarship grant |
Maya plans to study neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh’s Honors College this fall. She would like to earn a doctorate and be a full-time researcher and professor studying mental illnesses. She is looking forward to taking more detailed classes and finding research and internship opportunities at Pitt. Congratulations and good luck, Maya!
