St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 201 E. Main Street, Uniontown, is holding its annual Christmas Craft and Bake Sale on Saturday, December 5 from 12 – 5 p.m. and on Sunday December 6 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the upstairs school hall.
The many craft items have been made by St. John’s Ethnic Craft Club. Also available are tree ornaments, imported items which include embroideries, icons, and other folk art from Slovakia and Ukraine.
Available once again is the parish cookbook, Carpathian Cookery, now in its 17th printing. Its new look is in computerized format and has a plastic protective cover.
Also available is a wide assortment of delicious baked goods, which includes long rolls, small kolachy (pastries filled with nut, poppyseed, and apricot), filled cookie cups, breads, molded candy, and many varieties of cookies.
There is no admission charge. Parking is in the back which is handicap-accessible. For information, call the church office 724-438-6027 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
