Saint Sebastian Church in Belle Vernon has announced its 2nd Annual Autumnfest will be held October 11 - 12 on the parish grounds. The event features multiple activities for the entire mid-Mon Valley community including a 'first of its kind' attraction for our area.
Autumnfest Weekend kicks off Saturday evening, October 11 with a catered dinner dance featuring the big band sounds of The Frankie Carroll Orchestra. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased after weekend Masses or at the Saint Sebastian Parish Office. A limited number of tickers will be sold in advance and no tickets will be sold at the door.
On Sunday, October 12, the parish grounds turn into a giant tailgate party. Beginning at noon, big screen televisions will be available to watch the Steelers take on the Cleveland Browns. Tailgaters will also have the opportunity to purchase a variety of tailgate food including a special Polish platter. The Autumnfest Sweet Shoppe is back with a variety of special treats and delights for sale along with our Parish Community Bake Sale.
There will also be lots of activities and entertainment for the Autumnfest Tailgate. For the first time in the mid-Mon Valley, the Steel City Gamerz Video Arcade will be available for all video game enthusiasts. The special vehicle can accommodate up to twenty people at a time with stadium-style seating for gamers. Steel City Gamerz has all of the current, favorite games for play. Autumnfest Weekend will also feature other games for children and face painting.
Following the Steelers game, a special Bingo will be held in the parish hall. Bingo admission is
$20 and it will include fourteen regular games and a jackpot. Tickets for this special bingo may be purchased in advance at the Parish office. The tailgate will end at 7:00 p.m. with the parish raffle drawing and the announcement of the winners of our spectacular Chinese auction baskets.
