Mingo Creek Presbyterian Church is currently fundraising for a very important lifesaving device: AED. Having an AED (automated external defibrillator) positioned in public areas has proven to save lives by correcting cardiac arrhythmias, in emergency situations, by the layperson while awaiting treatment and transport to a hospital by ambulance personnel.
Our church invites the community into our facilities for many events in addition to weekly worship services. Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Youth Groups meet in our facilities. We hold community dinners, Interfaith Lenten Worship Services, Bible Studies, and group meetings.
Many of those who worship and/or visit Mingo Church are of the older population, and we have experienced emergency events. In preparation for these situations, we have held CPR and Basic First Aid classes, led by personnel from the Jefferson Ambulance Service, and they have advised us of the need for an AED.
The LifePak 1000 AED will cost $2,400. We are asking your support in raising the necessary funds for this valuable community asset which will be available at our church and fellowship hall. We thank you for your kind consideration to support our fundraising efforts. Your donation is tax deductible as allowed by law and can be sent to:
