New things are happening here at Windover Hills UMC, located at 6751 Ridge Road in South Park, from Mike Clarke being hired as our worship leader for the Saturday 6 p.m. service, to our summer outdoor worship service on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. in our Memorial Garden. Come and see what we have planned for the upcoming fall ministry year.

Our men's group is currently meeting on Saturday mornings at 7:30 a.m. and studying Jonah. Soon a second men's group will start on Sunday nights at 8 p.m.

Our Windy Kids program for K-3rd grade is starting up soon and this year, a Bible Club, which is new, and geared for 4th - 6th graders, will meet at the same time on the same evening. Youth group will be starting soon for 7th - 12th graders on Sunday evenings twice a month with monthly activities being offered with other local churches.

We also offer a variety of other programs. This fall we are starting a bowling league on Sunday evenings twice a month as well as a six- week study on the United Methodist Church on Tuesday evenings. Our praise team will practice on Wednesday nights and our choir will meet on Thursday nights to rehearse. Zumba continues on Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays here at 7 p.m. in our fellowship hall. AA meets on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. and the Christian Counseling group is here throughout the week. We continue to partner with such local ministries as 8th Ave. Place in Homestead, Congregant Feed on the North Side, and Meals on Wheels of South Park. Cub Scout Pack 569 calls WHUMC home as well as the Girl Scouts of South Park.

Starting Sunday, September 14 we will return to our fall hours, with worship at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday School will begin that day at 9:45 a.m. We have classes for all ages. We have a variety of subjects for adults to choose from, ranging from video studies to in-depth Bible study.
