Professor Scott W. Sunquist will be returning to the Pittsburgh area September 14 and 15 to speak at the Renée Omstead Memorial Event which is being held at Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, 199 Old Clairton Road.

Scott W. Sunquist is the Dean and Professor of World Christianity of the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. His courses at the Seminary are related to mission theology and world Christianity. Sunquist co-founded with Dr. Glendora Paul the “World Mission Initiative” at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary which helps churches and seminary students increase their involvement in world mission. He also helped to start a one year missional urban discipleship program called the World Christian Discipleship program in Pittsburgh.
During this two day event, Professor Sunquist will be sharing his understanding that the Christian Mission is carried out in suffering in this world for God’s eternal glory.

• Sunday, September 15 from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. - Suffering and Glory of the Church: The Church in Mission Today
