Religion


The Beth Israel Center synagogue is inviting people to attend services including Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. There is no fee for participating in our high holiday services and new members are welcome.

We are a small but active Conservative synagogue that is located at 118 Gill Hall Road at the border of Pleasant Hills and Jefferson Hills. For more information, call 412-655-2144.

The schedule for services for the month of September is:

Friday Night Services September 6, 20, 27 will begin at 7: 30 p.m. in the small sanctuary.

Rosh Hashanah Services
Held in the main sanctuary.
Wednesday evening, September 4, services begin at 8 p.m. and will be conducted by Rabbi Amy Greenbaum.
Thursday morning, September 5, services begin at 9 a.m. and continue until approximately 1 p.m.
Thursday afternoon services (Tashlich) on September 5 begin at 3:30 p.m. and will be conducted by Rabbi Amy Greenbaum at the waterfront in Elizabeth.
Friday morning , September 6, services will begin at 9 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Yom Kippur Services
Held in the main sanctuary.
Kol Nidre - Friday evening, September 13, will begin at 7:15 p.m. and will be conducted by Cantor Bernard Rubb.
Saturday morning, September 14, services will begin at 9:30 a.m.
