Organist Performance on September 25
The 200th Anniversary Committee in celebration will be sponsoring another event - an Organ Recital featuring Robert Ferguson Organist, September 25 at 7:00 pm. The committee is looking for past members of our church so we may connect up with them. If you have been or know someone, please contact the church.
New Men's Group Created
United Methodist Men (UMM) - A new group has been started and they are now busy planning for future events. They hike and had a picnic at Mingo Park, and recently had a competition at the 1st Annual Word and Wings event. Dalton Stewart took home the award.
Senior Games Winner!
Congratulations to Ruth Corrin, who participated in 27th Annual Senior Games. She brought home four Gold Medals and two Silver Medals. Ruth also brought home another win - she won the Golf Tournament. Were so proud of you Ruth!
Pillowcase Dresses Donated
Recently 23 Pillowcase Dresses were taken to the Dress a Girl around the World project in Scottsdale, AZ. These dresses are made for little girls around the world. The Scottsdale Bible Church is making 50 mission trips this year. Thanks to Mildred Carey and Donna Irwin who continue to make this mission possible.
Bell Tower Restoration Project
The work on the Bell Tower restoration project is on schedule by Yohe Roofing. Additional restoration work is the removal and replacement of bell equipment, restoration of two pinnacles, updating of electrical wiring and lighting in the tower and re-pointing the two pinnacles.
