Activities will begin at 12:00 noon, and run until 9:00 p.m. A number of area churches, ministries and non-profit organizations will join together for this day of praise, music, food and fellowship. A variety of activities are planned, including all-day musical performances, children’s activities, and food booth and informational booths.
Musicians scheduled to appear will include: Journey by Grace church, First Baptist church, Shepherds Voice, First Christian Church Praise band, and From the Top. This year to headline at 7:00 pm, from Dallas Texas, is Grammy winner Todd Agnew. You may be familiar with his million-selling worship single, “Grace Like Rain,” but not know Todd as a Bible teacher. Fans may know him as an artist jubilantly singing “In The Middle of Me,” and not know him as a worship leader. They may be acquainted with the deep honesty and theology of “My Jesus” and not know him as a joyous storyteller. Todd’s concert weaves these many threads into the compelling tapestry that’s an honest telling of his life and music.
The event is sponsored by the First Christian Church Monongahela. A partial list other participating churches include: Journey by Grace Methodist, First Baptist (River Rising), Saint Damien of Moloaki, Option Resource Center, Bethel AME, and many more. Other ministries which will be represented include, Christian Bikers, GoTime Ministries, and Shekinah Ranch, to name a few.
This event is being held in conjunction with Monongahela's 250th celebration. Events will be happening all around the town.
There will be a FREE concert for area youth on Friday, August 9, starting at 6:00 pm in Chess Park. Sponsored by “Go Time Ministries.” The high energy group “EMG” will perform at 7:30pm. Free Refreshments and prizes will be provided for those 17 and under as long as supply's last. Food will be available for purchase. All ages are welcome.
An open worship service will be taking place on Sunday August 11 at 9:30 am in Chess park. All are welcome. Any ministry or church wishing to join the day’s festivities, or anyone wishing more information, should contact First Christian church at 724-258-3255, or DJ Fogiato at djbrick@comcast.net.
