Boys and girls ages 8-12 are cordially invited to attend Cloister Day, designed for tweens, at Divine Redeemer Motherhouse, 999 Rock Run Rd., Elizabeth, on June 15, 2018.
What is Cloister Day? It is indoor fun for youth to leave their day-to-day routines behind and acquaint themselves with the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer and their foundress, Venerable Mother Alphonse Marie (Elizabeth Eppinger).
On this day from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., youth will enjoy a variety of spiritual and physical activities taught by the Sisters and friendly adults as well tour Divine Redeemer Motherhouse. They will have the opportunity to share fellowship with the Sisters, friendly adults, teen helpers and other tweens.
This day will begin with Mass at 9:30 a.m. Youth will do the liturgical ministries, sing, and play special instruments for offertory and communion meditation. Our unique offertory consists of twins (other multiples are invited to join us).
Parents are invited to join us at 3 p.m. in Divine Redeemer Chapel for the Divine Mercy Chaplet in song and motion and see the 225-foot mission rosary! This will be followed by entertainment in St. Anne's Hall with a party and ice cream social.
Please respond by calling Sister Jean at 412-751-8600 by Friday, June 8, 2018.
