The First United Methodist Church of Monongahela, 430 West Main Street, Monongahela, welcomes you to come join us for a variety of activities.
Our ninth biennial Crèche Show and Festival of the Trees will be held from 3 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, December 2and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 3 featuring over 300 Nativity scenes on display. This year we are adding themed Christmas trees as well. Refreshments will be served and a Nativity Shop will feature crafts from Red Bird Mission, among other gift and holiday items.
The Jim Sykes Organ Concert will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 2 featuring Jim playing Advent and Christmas music on our Allen Organ in the Sanctuary. Come early or stay after for the Crèche Show.
Family Movie Night featuring Disney’s “A Christmas Carol” will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 9. This movie is an animated retelling of Charles Dickens’ classic novel about a Victorian-era miser taken on a journey of self-redemption, courtesy of several mysterious Christmas apparitions.
Friday Night Praise is at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 16.
Christmas Eve candlelight & communion worship will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 24.
Christmas Day worship will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, December 25. Bring a representative Christmas gift that you have received with you for our “Blessing of the Gifts.”
Small Groups continue to meet on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m.
The Youth Fellowship meets on Sundays from 6:30-8 p.m.
The United Methodist Women meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 8 with a mission project night at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27.
