Ethnic food and lively music make a summer weekend! It all comes together at the Epiphany of Our Lord Parish festival on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7 at Chapel grounds, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen, PA.

Epiphany of Our Lord Parish Fest - Upcoming in Monessen

The festival opens at 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, immediately following 4 p.m. Mass, which will be held at the Chapel. A spaghetti dinner will be among the offerings on Saturday, along with the outdoor foods including sausage sandwiches and pizza burgers. Street Level Band will begin entertainment at 6 p.m. and continue until the festival close at 10:00 p.m. On Sunday, homemade pierogis, halupki, sausage sandwiches and lasagna will be on the menu as well as outdoor food. Entertainment slated for Sunday includes The Perfect Threat with music from the '60s, '70s and '80s from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Ray Jay and the Carousels will play from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On Sunday, August 7, we will hold a Diaper Derby at 3:30 p.m. for babies under the age of 12 months. For details and registration, visit our website: www.eolparish.weeb;y.com/festival

Because we are celebrating 25 years as a parish, we are 'Weaving Together a Community.' A weaver will set up a loom inside of the Chapel Hall. Not only will he demonstrate the art of weaving, community members and festival attendees are invited to throw the shuttle and be a part of the weaving process. The completed small tapestry will be on display for the remainder of the year’s celebratory events.

A list of events, the menu, and directions can be found on our website: www.eolparish.weeb;y.com/festival.
