South Park Township’s monthly Board of Supervisor’s meeting was held on July 13 at 7 p.m.
Two couples, residents of South Park, both requested the opportunity to place fencing on their properties and were granted non-exclusive license agreements due to one property having to build over a storm sewer easement and the other having to build over a drainage easement.
The property at 6077 Pleasant St. incurred structural damage due to a fire and a cash bond was released for the demolition and site restoration, in the amount of $16,666.66.
There was an action on a land development agreement between South Park Township and South Park School District, approving renovations to be made to South Park Middle School.
There was an action on a land development agreement between South Park and the Montour Trail Council, to approve the project known as The Pleasant St. Ext., Phase 8, A4.
The 2015 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project, which is being completed by Insight Pipe Contracting, is in the amount of $85,834.07, for all work completed to date.
The township is making plans to have the municipal building’s exterior painted. Bids on the best price for the project will begin on Tuesday, August 4, at 10:00 a.m. The decided cost is not to exceed $5,000.
The action to ratify payment for the 2014 Road Program, completed by Victor Paving and Construction Inc., came to a cost of $18,902.90.
South Park Township’s Library director, Sharon Bruni, has resigned from her position. Her last day was on July 2.
