At the March 3rd New Eagle Borough Council meeting, Council voted to reinstate a contract to service the borough front end loader that had ended in recent years.

The five-year preventive maintenance deal with Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. will assure the borough's equipment will be maintained on a regular basis under a money-saving agreement that will cost the borough $2,000 in the contract's first year, decreasing in the four years thereafter.

Council members stated that the contract will save the borough a significant amount of money on a necessary piece of equipment.

In other business, Council granted the Railroad Club permission to install a stair lift at the borough building at the club's expense.

The next regular monthly meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7at 7 p.m. at the New Eagle Borough Municipal Building on Main Street.
