In an effort to keep residents informed, the City of Monessen is reminding taxpayers that the City has adopted certain Property Tax Relief Provisions, due to the impacts from COVID19.
The City of Monessen and Westmoreland County have extended the discount period for 2020 City and County Property Taxes.
The discount rate will extend through August 31, 2020. In addition, the 10% penalty fee associated with the late payment will be waived provided that the tax face amount is paid in its entirety by December 31, 2020.
