New Eagle Borough Council discussed an on-going issue they are experiencing with residents in the borough not displaying house numbers.
The houses without a number are a safety issue, and residents are required to display numbers visible to the public that are at least four inches high, and a half inch wide.
Residents have 30 days to comply with the ordinance before they will receive a $1,000 fine for the code violation.
In other business, Council voted to extend the refuse contract with County Hauling, which expires in December, for a one-year term, beginning January 1, 2020.
