Clairton's Citizen's Police Academy is a program in which the local police department trains citizens, especially those who participate in the Neighborhood Crime Watch program, in ways to facilitate communication between the community and law enforcement in the prevention of crime.

Participants participate in many scenarios. Clairton Citizen Police Academy participants have attended night court, taken rides with police officers, and training scenarios on how to handle combative individuals. Clairton Crime Watch meets the first and third Mondays of each month. We are always looking for active participation from Clairton residents; please contact the City of Clairton municipal building for information.
