The South Park Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting on June 13 at 7 p.m.

The supervisors began by recognizing one of South Park’s wrestling champions, Greg Bulsak.
Mr. Sackinsky read the Presentation of Proclamation, stating, “The Board of Supervisors acknowledges the achievements of Greg Bulsak in the field of competitive wrestling and whereas, Greg Bulsak has excelled at his wrestling endeavors with an overall career record of 148 wins and 18 losses.”
Bulsak is a two-time PIAA state champion, one-time state qualifier, two-time Powerade placer - 4th and 3rd place; three-time section champion, three-time WPIAL champion and a three-time southwestern regional champion. He has now been selected to represent the Team Pennsylvania All-stars in the Pittsburgh wrestling classic, Dapper Dan vs. Team USA. He is the first WPIAL champion in the history of South Park, which he accomplished in his freshman year in high school. His wrestling achievements have earned him a scholarship to wrestle for Clarion University.
The meeting continued, as the Board discussed the following topics:
• The non-exclusive license agreement between South Park and the residents at 3018 Decker Dr. was tabled.
• There was an action to release a bond in the amount of $6,600, to guarantee the completion of the driveway, located at 1195 Snee Dr.
• An easement and right-of-way agreement was made and approved for the purpose of conveying an easement/right-of-way for maintenance and repair, which is located at 2600 Brownsville Rd.
• The Supervisors approved the release of the letter of credit No. 190 in the amount of $7,500 to guarantee the completion of site improvements to the development located at 2580 Brownsville Rd.
• The non-exclusive license agreement between the Township of South Park and the resident of 1648 Conner Dr. was approved for the building of a shed over a sanitary sewer easement.
• Another non-exclusive license agreement was also approved. The agreement is to allow the installation of electrical and gas lines that will service an above-ground pool at 944 Lindfield Dr.
• Action was taken to approve payment in the amount of $18,260.00, to Independent Enterprises, for the project identified as the Grove Road Storm Sewer Phase 3 Project. The remaining balance of $13,000 will be paid by community development grant funding.
• There will be a bid opening on Thursday, July 7, at 10 a.m. for the sale of seven Township vehicles. All vehicles will be sold “as is – where is” and the actions on those bids will take place at the next supervisors meeting on July 11.
• A public hearing has been scheduled for 6:45 p.m. on July 11 to discuss MS4 standards in order to comply with the permit requirements established by DEP with regard to public education.
• A motion was needed to accept the resignation of Mel Cecotti from his position on the South Park Township Planning Commission.
• For the 2016 Restoration of Various Streets project, a payment request as submitted by Victor Paving and Construction, in the amount of $378,970.15, was approved.
• The Township will be participating in the 2016 Municipal Intern Program and the supervisors approved of the project contract between South Park Township and the Local Government Academy.
• Police Chief Dennis McDonough will be attending the annual Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association Conference and training on July 10-14 in Erie, PA.
• Chief McDonough attended the “Risk Management in Law Enforcement” training, along with several other South Park police officers, on June 29 in Mt. Lebanon.
